Guess you didn't read the rest of the thread. The 1919A4 only graduated to 2400 and had an open battle sight.

That's a .50 cal sight put incorrectly on a 1919A4. Check the CAMT or FM on the weapon if you don't agree. The .30 cal was only graduated to 2400. Books are available on line too...

I have a couple of .30 cal ANM2s that came out of a wrecked dive bomber . Because my wife wouldn't let me buy a bomber to put them in , I converted them to USMC Stingers . I was going to put ANM2 rear sights on them , but they have no scale on them . I then compared the 1919A4 ladder ( .30 cal M2 ball ballistics ) with the M2HB ladder and I found that in the range of the A4's movement , the M2Hb was off only a few tics ( 4 , IIRC ) checked by a dial caliper . As that's not much difference for a shoulder fired BAR or M1919A6 type weapon , I used the M2HB rears on them , short'ning the base and drilling 4 holes in a rectangular pattern to bolt them on ala the ANM2 base's pattern.
As a funny aside to this , last week I watched a season 5 " Combat " episode , " Nightmare on the Red Ball Run " , and I'll be dog gone if Kirby's BAR has .... yep ... a M2HB ladder on it . Wouldn't have caught it except for this thread being fresh in my mind.
    Funny , Chris

Those photos aren't of a real 1919A4, it's a mock up/replica in Switzerlandicon, there are no real 1919A4 parts on it.

The .50 cal sight you show is from a M2WC (Not the M2HB)
