I agree! Your images still hold my interest and shows even more of the special find of the forum member.
You might try to crop out the rug as much as you can. It's whiteness throws off the color balance of your attempts. I have had some luck with using a piece of cardboard to asorb stray light and reflection. JMHO..

I am still here just overwhelmed by the responce on this stock. What i thought was the work of a very board welder with no life turns out to maybe be one of the only surviving metal stock made by springfield armory in the early fifties. I guess i will take it off the nail its been hanging on in the garage for 20 years and put it in the safe. What do i do with it now???
