Don't forget aragorn, the old saying on this forum that everything was cheap '.........yesterday'. and it's not likely to change. What's the number of the rusty old one? I've got a box full of No5 parts.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I think Aragorn is referring to the relic in Australiaicon listed right now on Ebay.Com (usa), item number 200634859946. It would be a real challenge restoring this one me thinks.

That would be it. Looks like the tip is broken off to me. Photos aren't very good so it could be just the bad photo.

My No.5 cost me about £40 at the first Beltring I ever attended in 2000. Recently a friend of mine bought one for about £100 and that's at the lower end of UKicon prices I've seen.

Another item on my ever-growing 'good job I bought that when I did' list.
