On a different site and there is a unissued Chinese SKS, factory 306 so Norinco for 160.00 Other than a few small dings the seller says it is perfect.
Problem for you is it's in Canada, it has been on the EE site a couple of days and no taker.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

I thought the fixed 20 Rounders were produced for commercial market. Any photos of these being used by any militaries?

Norinco was formed in the early 80's and is a short name for North China Industries, which is a group of 'companies' that make a wide variety of things for both commercial and military use.

The magazine has a communist star, if you google chinese SKS 20rd mag you should see a list. China did make 15 or 20 rd mags that are internal, like you have. So, it could be original or it could have been modified using authentic parts.

I'm pretty sure that the 20 rounders are not original to any Chinese SKS rifle. I believe that these magazines with the star stamped in the side (and "Made In China" on the bottom) were produced for export, primarily to the US civilian market just like many of short barreled "paratrooper" rifles and several of the factory scoped examples like the "Cowboy Companion."
There are several reasons why I believe this:
1) The magazine construction is not as high quality as the factory 10 round magazines
2) They often do not function very well and require filing and fitting to get them to work (this doesn't happen with the 10 rounders)
3) They are stamped Made In China
4) The stamped star looks like a commercial feature, not something you would see on a military piece
5) They are not numbered with a rifle's serial number like 99% of the original 10 round magazines
6) I've never heard of any SKS rifle being imported with anything but the 10 round magazine, including all of the Police rifles that Keng's imported
7) If these magazines were used by the PLA or the Chinese Police, there would be photographic evidence
I'd love to see some evidence that proves otherwise!
