I put the vertical grip on so my hand is a more natural position. My elbow used to give me fits from being turned up. Smashed it too many times I guess. I don't have anything else on the KAC RAS though. I did like the original round handguards though.

I just realized. 6721 ! Mine's a 6720. Lightweight barrel. Swapped off an old A2 Gov't lightweight carbine for the new flattopped version. Mostly to get a fence about the mag release, oddly enough. Being left handed and all, the button tended to bounce on gear, etc. Resisted for the longest time, but no regrets.

New, new, new! Not something usual.
But the "new" Knight's is working out well, too. Even though the forend isn't a great improvement over the older version, it's longer, so the front sight is clearer! Getting old, and all...

BTW, that 20" barreled rifle with an old Colt scope on the carry handle has become my favorite deer hunting implement over the past 7-8 years. Putting a little 55gr Sierra pill into the chest cavity is scary effective.
I hope that your 6721 is as pleasing in the long run!

Gotta love 'em. I have a BFI lower registered as an SBR since I found myself buried in new in the wrap Colt M4 barrels and military Colt Canada
M4 uppers several years ago. I built two standard M4 top ends and wound up purchasing a SOCOM barrel too at Knob Creek range for total of three. It has a carry handle w'A2 sight and the other two a IOR/Valdata CQB sight and Eotech holosight respectively. It's a flawless system and I've done a number of LE demos with it. Enjoy!!
