This is what I was sent. He has assured to his knowledge and experience the rifle has not been redone, and the Serial on the front stock piece is worn but readable and matches. And as said all other serials match. I've noticed he also has a add for a Mk.1? WWI Enfield, and a 1940 Italian
M1
Garand I believe, plus various other militaria items.

When I decided to get a LB Enfield in perfect shape last year, I went to a renowned gun dealer in my region and asked him.
He told me there are still a few A grade ones from the Italian
Navy around and that it might take some time to get a real good one.
I waited and, after a few months, got a gourgeos one with 6-threaded barrel and in practically mint condition.
700€ was the price, without sling, bayonet or other stuff.
I guess that would be a European price. From what I read here, maybe that's also a North American price.
It is exactly like the one you posted.

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

The scabbard for the LB bayonet is also desirable, it's certainly scarce on the UK
market.

Was asking 800, I haggled down to 700, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Pardon the pun. He through in a orignal charger clip as well 😂.

More detailed pics on arrival and the usual range report when able. Nice score.

I think you did good on that one.
Really!
Full package with a price which is by no means above the current market value, even here over the pond.
Congratulations.

I believe I did as well, I'm happy with it. I can already see one issue though.. It's the first firearm I've purchased that I don't want to put a lot of range time on. I may have to pick up another LE in the near future to have a range use rifle as well!
And I'll break out the good camera this week and get a few photos for you all!
Cheers

It is worth reiterating here that an LB, Savage, BSA etc rifle was issued to the troops as a rifle. What came with it was a totally separate issue so the sling, bayonet, cleaning kit etc etc could be from anywhere. I appreciate that it's nice to have 'the full set' but it's a totally false ideal. A bit like that old notion of restoring a rifle to its as it left the factory. It only left the factory once!
