I think if you really check the stitching and dot snaps between original and reproduction jump cases, you will be able to note the differences

the tiny stain in the middle looks to me to be ink bleed over from where they stamped the flap and immediately folded it over before it was completely dry leaving the partial unlegible 1943 smudge, imo. I have a first pattern shelter half this way.

The repros certainly have their place as you can take them to the range without having to worry about sun fading (or getting soaked from a UKicon perspective).

    RCS,
Did you have any parts left over after you completed this build?
Like maybe a GI lower wire stock tube?
I ask because I know someone looking for a replacement who would prefer to buy from a seller from here in the US.
He wants to replace this one:

    Anyone?
Send me a PM and I can pass along contact info.

    Thx,
    Charlie-Painter777

"...it's all about accessorizing..." Yep. That stuff has gone up in value at a faster rate than the rifles have.
"...parts which are all original..." Inland made 9 of the parts, including the receivers. Inland didn't assemble the Para Carbines either. QH didn't make Para Carbines at all. However, us big kids need our toys too.

Charlie. The metal stock was always close to impossible to find for me, looked for years as I had the wood without metal. Then I remembered
that I had a broken M1A1icon stock, someone inletted it for the M2 parts using a wood chisel, really bad inside, then they screwed a Thompson
grip on the bottom. But the metal was in good condition. I got this stock out of a gunshop that was closing, also got the leather carbine
scabbard from there too. I did have some M1A1 grips marked SA on the bottom but sold them. I real do not know where M1A1 metal could
    be found ? Robert

I appreciate the reply **William**. Robert
You'll have to give me some info about your patent sometime.

    Enjoy your weekend,

Edit to add: Sorry Robert, I had just finished a Email to William Moore.

found these in an old gun shop

These peeps sights were also found in the old gun shop, I may also have some that are not marked. These are new (NOS) having never been installed.

One of the emplyees at the store's key department, Mr Miller had told me his mother had been an inspector at a carbine manufacturer in Chicago during the war. Attachment 104274Attachment 104273
