The marking disc is the usual brass with brass screw but not marked on the side that is showing. I can remove it and check the flip side. The picture of the opposite side of the barrel was too large to attach but there's only the serial number of 5400 inline with the serial re-numbering of 5400 on the receiver.
The last time I removed all of the wood was probably 20 years ago. I can tear it down if you think there might be something of value to you but it'll take me a few days to get to it. The stock is in good condition but, obviously, a century old.
If it is of use I'm happy to take better photos as well.
Edit: the nose cap is serialed to the rifle (5400) as is the ladder sight.

Yes, a picture tells a thousand words and isn't filtered through impression, opinion or ignorance.
Trying to save Service history, one rifle at a time...

I have a photographic memory... I can remember something i saw 10 years ago but i have the memory of a goldfish for numbers and dates.
My desk is full of small notes everywhere and i keep a ''black book'' for small notes and things to remember.
Which is why i love reference books

Some more, for posterity, as requested.
And, no, this magazine isn't fitted to this rifle.

You anyway have them, but thought they should belong into this thread anyway as well (since from the original thread years back when I posted the rifle they are gone).
Oh, if you need pictures of the Parker-Hiscock Magazine, I have two of them as well. Attached are also pictures of one that I once had shown in here too, of course pictures gone too.

My fault. Lance didn't ask for the magazine picture, I just figured it fit with the thread and there might interest to the members here.
