Short introduction here, with my given name being David Carson, the screen name derivation should be obvious. I live in the people's republic of Kalifornia, and have been active in the West L A NRA members council for some years. I started collecting firearms in 1989 with a m1917 enfield, as well as 1917 S&W, M 1, SMLE4 and sks.

Another new member here. I'm from Manitoba and I'm primarily a WWII Canadianicon and US collector. No firearms in the collection yet but I'm hoping to change that as soon as possible.

    Hello from captk72y

    Hello everyone,

I just found this site this morning and decided to register as it appeared very interesting indeed. My first military surplus rifle was a K98kicon, dou 43(mismatched) bought at Hercules Sales in Toronto in the 60's. I have had a number of surplus arms since then. However, a few years ago I began collecting Military Mausers. I also have a likeing for the SKS however. So my main search is for some decent Gew 98s and an East German (NVA) SKS or as it is know in East German parlance "Karabiner S". My secondary interst are bayonets and militaria in general
