Been lurking for a while. Virtually all of my surplus firearms are US military. Like most everything I do I am "late to the dance" as I try to expand my collection. Better late than never.

Hello all, I have been around firearms most of my life
and I came across this forum and thought it would be the place to solve my problem.
I have an Arg. FN-49 in 308, great rifle but I am looking for
mags for this rifle, or what type of mag did they adapt to
this rifle, any help would be grateful, Garry

Hi folks,
Looks like I have found some people with the same interests that I have, collecting and shooting old firearms.
I'm currently trying to find a rear barrel band for a Springfield Krag. Recently bought the Krag and it has been sporterized but a job very well done. I am planning on replacing the stock with a carbine stock but am missing the rear barrel band. Having trouble locating one. Any ideas? Or should I just fabricate my own?
Thanks,
Roudy
