What did you do during the great corona virus lock down granddad?
Wished I had stockpiled more toilet paper and eaten less caned ravioli.

Funny you posted this as i made an almost identical repair to my LEC butt stock.
In adition to having a butchered round hole on the left side it also had been cut about 1/4 of an inch to fit (i imagine) a rubber pad)
I haven't got to matching the finish on it yet but since the rest of the wood work will need staining this will most surely get the same treatment.

Our carbines appear to be "brothers from another mother!"
Nice repair work. I have found that repeated applications of RLO w/stain eventually blend the wood (almost). It is a shame when these carbines get butchered or "customized."
But it is satisfying when all the repairs are done, and parts are hunted down and installed.
Again, nice work

I put an aperture rear sight and a No4 foresight on my HW30 air rifle and got down to some target practice in the back garden.

Excellent, Roger. It's a very accurate little rifle. The fore-sight is a friction fit and works a treat.
I'll have to see if I can figure out a way of mounting a No4 rearsight at the right height next.

I have been tripping over this trunk floor panel for my old Camaro for 20 years and was waiting for the right time to install it--- Ta-Daw! Anyway the prep work is very time consuming but I'm just about ready to weld it (mig butt welds on thin sheet metal-ouch). Getting this not so wily old body down in that little trunk is not easy! I also "stretched the forestocks on these sporterized Long branch No.4's.

After "stretching" do they still shoot accurately? I did the same to one, but haven't tried it yet.
