Cool. My transitional is a 1901 Erfurt, marked S/42G. The stock had been duffle-cut (bummer) by the WW II US doctor that brought it back from France icon

, and is EWB Freikorps marked. It still has the narrow sling swivels. It must have some stories.

Correct - it is a 98/22 stock. Great shooter but not very collectible - but for less than the price of a 24/47 - I'm well pleased with it.
