Hello group! I found my way over here after having been on the old Culvericon's site quite some time ago. Seems I had gotten lost since then somehow, so I guess I'll start over again as "the new guy".

Former C&R holder and been collecting for a number of years. No new additions to the collection though since that pretty much ended when my employment did. But I can still enjoy what I do have.....

So -- what's the latest in the milsurp world? How is everyone? Well I hope.

    Hello out there, wam here.

Wam, my names initials. Thought i posted a hello, a while back. Also, i am not shouting with capitals. I find it easier to read caps on screen. Someone told me caps was shouting. Also, have rheumatoid arthritis, typing difficult. I enjoyed going over the site the amount i did. Last night i happened apon the"lewis and clark air gun". Remarkable! In the 60's i always wanted a .177 seridan blue streak. Looks like i can modify the .22 crossman c02 i got for christmas, instead of the sheridan. I am 59 yrs. Old. Got my first rabbit when i was 12 or 13. Used iver johnson 12 ga. Single. Bagged it about 150 ft. From here in 1963. I am in the city now, damned immenint domain laws of nc. Unconstitutional. Cannot shot these days. Can lift a small calibre pistol, barely. Brought up out in the country, piedmont north carolina. Used to be pretty handy, with firearms, recurve bow and throwing knife. No fun anymore. The reason i searched on line about firearms was to find out the history and monetary value of a 1903-a3 camp perry match model. I purchased it from a ww11 army col. In 1968-9. Thats what he said it was. It was manufactured by remington. It has a lyman peep site. Had an impressive grouping at 2 and a half power line towers. Do not know actual distance. Did not fire it allot. Good ammo was to expensive and more affordable military surplus nato, was steel jacketed and not good for barrel, i was told. So with rheum. Arth. And being on disability i have to consider selling it. Someone told me the nra could provide the history of the 03 from its serial #. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Arms are giving out now. Going to soak in cool water. Posting......wam

    Talking ...Howdy from a newbie...

......not to forums, but at least this one......I'll be back on more later and post some pics here and there, but for now just dropping in to say Hi....been collecting Milsurps for ages...am a Vietnam era Navy vet (and if I hadda -I'd do it all over again)....also love to cook...and eat...and.....oh,just look at my profile....favorites in my collection include US rifles,Germanicon Mausers, and Mosin Nagants-'specially Finn'd ones......you'll be hearing and seeing more eventually....below is a quick shot I took yesterday of one of my Garands-I got tired of having indoor photos of them so I grabbed this one along with genuine WW2 steel pot and took this-aint the greatest since all I had was a cellphone camera-but it worked...
