I am and have been a collector of military arms for 30 years. I have collected Webley revolvers, Lee Enfields, and now am starting to get into both 1903 Springfields and 1911 Colts.
I also have my share of medals, uniforms, edged weapons etc (predominately British) as well as US frontier military gear.
I have done field archeology on Custer Battle field and at Ft Abraham Lincoln.
It is a pleasure to join and participate in your organization.

Hello all. New to milsurps.com

I'm a paramedic that is an avid target archer & meat hunter with bow or gun. Never trophy hunt with anything besides a camera. Was taught to leave the breeding bulls to do just that so I could harvest meat next season. Grew up shooting a .303 & bow for food.

I've just acquired my own .303 Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII* Price of commercial ammo is awful, so I'm looking into all the reloading equipment. I've been using this forum to make sure I get it right. Not willing to have a near death or better experience.

Could really do with some assistance on head-space gauging (before I put the 1st round through the barrel), barrel slugging, basic reloading equipment that's reliable & solid, & reloading dies that will last longer than I do.

I live in Ottawa & am also looking for a good gunsmith in that area.

Retired from Federal Law Enforcement in 1993. Have extensive experience in past M1 NRA MATCHES, and somewhat extensive in Law Enforcement PPC pistol competition. While I am not a collector of firearms I do have some fine guns, some in the category of collectible.

Now in my mid 70's I do more fishing than shooting since I live right on the famous Umpqua River that is noted for very large steelhead and both species of salmon during their annual run up the river to lay their eggs.

I was the firearms instructor and training officer for my agency in Central California. During those years we evolved from 2" revolvers, to 4" S&W 38's, to Sig 9mm. Today, of course, the semi automatics are more powerful for Government issue.

I started M1 NRA match shooting with Army Marksman units in 1957, and continued in the Reserves until 1966. What info are you looking for? My first post is after yours since I just joined this forum.

I replyed, but it showed up on my Background data site. I shot M1 NRA Matches in the Army Marksmanship units starting 1957 and end 1968 as I recall.

Hi all, I was born a poor weapon-deprived urban child. My daddy had been a hunter when he lived in the up country and proudly showed me his 30-06. I always wanted to play with it.

Zoom out nearly 50 years and now my son's at RMC and I figured I should try to keep up with the bugger so I've recently applied for my PAL.

I'd like to build a small collection of milsurps (as well as some practical target rifles) to share with him and I've got my eyes on a Ross to start. Why not begin with a bloody great Canadian rifle that can blow your face off you if you don't treat it right?

So I'll be lurking here occasionally and showing off/pestering you gentlemen about any acquisitions. Thanks for your patience and advice in advance. Regards, Arlo
