A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Rear Sight

Hi, everyone, I have a Brno mauser that has no rear sight. The barrel in front of the receiver has 3 drilled and tapped holes. I do not know if this is the original configuration
or not. I have looked extensively for a sight that would mount like this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Markings on receiver:

    CSST

    ZBROJVKA

    BRNO

Serial # 4371 appears to be a nazi eagle on barrel at end of serial #.

    Thanks, Danang69

Hi everybody! I have lurked here for many years, reading, learning. I have a collection of trainers, several Enfields, and US models. Have learned a great deal from postings on this board, and finally decided to be more active and post. Thanks for all the help in the past.

    Good Evening!

Four years ago I started looking into my family's history in the Great War...one a US infantryman (private) and the other a Canadianicon lieutenant. Being a dedicated meat hunter for forty years I never had much exposure to military arms, until I started wondering what these men had carried into combat and what it was like to shoot their weapons? Now, four years later I have a growing collection of useable milsurps. i have reloaded since the 70's and I have whole new calibres to develop! It's great passing hands-on experience on now to my grandkids...when we watch movies now they have a very real sense of what their great-great ancestors went through...feeling the weight and recoil of a rifle is worlds apart from pushing video game buttons...

I look forward to reading a lot more about my collection-yet-to-come here...

Thanks for hosting this site...I'll do more reading in the winter...

    Hello

    Hello Everyone,
I'm a classic car collector and restorer from Poland. I'm rather interested in sports cars however recently I bought one military care - Austin 8 AP Military Tourer 1939. I'm trying to sell the care however simultaneously I want to get some more information about this model. I hope this forum will be helpfull with it.

    Regards,
    Przemek

    Greetings,

Long-time lurker and more recent joiner - this is a great site and I have learned so much - long may it continue. Ex-pat Brit and newly-minted Yank raising my family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Military history hound and apprentice "grumpy old man". Avid milsurp collector / shooter / reloader. I run a regular military bolt action match at my local club in WA. Slow-fire, rapid-fire and snap shooting on military targets. My first love is Lee Enfields; but my collection is starting to acquire an American flavor [sic]. I try to restrict my collecting activities to "instruments of democracy", but I am weak-willed and have failed on a couple of occasions. Despite all this, I lead a nearly normal life.

    Best regards
