A4 bolt ID Real or not?

I have a few A4 clone projects so I like finding cheap bolts with decently turned-down handles that I can complete to my taste. I purchased a bolt assembly at a gunshow from a box of parts at a cheap price and assumed it was a good looking gunsmith job. My issue is that the handle contours and cuts look perfect. I saw a U under the bolt handle so figured it's nonoriginal. But I cant find any info for "U" marked bolts.

Is it possibly a poorly struck Remington "R" and not a "U"??

Sorry but the handle is far from perfect. It might be fixable with some work. The bolt sleeve does not appear to be Remington and the firing pin has come from an '03. Not sure about the "U" stamp. i would direct that question to John Beard.

Thank you. I wanted to clean up the scaley texture on the underside of the handle and lower the main scallop but didn't want to change anything yet on the long shot that it was something special. I knew the other parts were incorrect but thanks again.

If anyone else has info on the "U" marking please chime in.
