Flood of early Enfields in the US
I have noticed a sudden large flood of early ( <1915) SMLE's, most ex MkIII's, that have gone through Ishapore rebuilds/refurbishments on certain auction sites from multiple sellers currently.
Has some notable collector recently passed on and the estate come up for auction or something of that nature, because I have not heard of any new batch of enfields having been imported from India by vendors?
Can it really just be chance that all these came up at the same time?

About twenty years ago an old friend bought 12 Lee Enfields that came from India. A few years later I got two of these rifles which I found interesting. The first was a BSA 1904 SHtLE 1** IP and the second was a Enfield 1903 SHLE 1** IP. The Enfield was rebuild in 1914 while the BSA was rebuilt in 1917. New barrels which matched the serial numbers were installed and the volley sight stud was milled off the BSA. Both rifles had a charger bride installed and upgraded to Mark 111 although I understand they were always called Mark 1** IP. These rifles still have exc bores and are in nice condition considering the age and where they came from
