1917 Sporter done by Clark S Campbell..

Attachment 28806Attachment 28807Attachment 28808Attachment 28809Attachment 28810over the weekend i picked up a couple rifles from someone carring them through a small show in Loveland Co.
i picked them up with the idea of changing the cal, on the 17, {577 T-Rex} and selling the 1899 Kragicon,
i can sell the Weaver 330 for what i paid for both.
however, after i get the rifles home, and start to inspect them a little closer, i find a BY CAMPBELL stamped on the bottom side of the 17, and so..i look a little closer, compared to some of the sporter 1903,s he has in his book, and a special floor plate latch. i belive indeed this was a rifle he did, checkering looks like his work as well, cock on opening done very nicely, side mounted scope ect..
i have emailed his Son to see if Clark kept a record of the rifles he built..will see.
heres she is,, after fining the name, other then the scope, ill leave it as it is..
Clark was a great guy, and a good friend, i met him through my dad many years ago..
