    Don Miller

I have a Kahles scope at Don Miller's for repair - job he said would take two weeks. He has had to scope for six weeks and has been unresponsive to emails for the last two weeks. Got a phone number for him from directory assistance but it was wrong - the lady who answered said she has been getting a lot of calls for the scope repair guy lately. Does anyone know Don? I hope he is he allright? Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC, In a discussion of scope repair sometime in the past, chuckindenver stated that Don Miller did good work, but don't be in any hurry about getting it back.
You might PM Chuck and ask him.

    FWIW,

    Thanks, Emri.
I understand that these things take time and there can be delays - I'm OK with that. I would just like to get a reply to my emails. BTW, Don said the job would only take two weeks - it's been over six. And since the person answering the wrong phone number said there had been a lot of calls to her looking for Don, lately, I may not be the only one trying to reach him.
Not angry, just concerned for Don.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Don is fine. I spoke with him on the phone, today. Somehow, our email exchange was interrupted and he did not get a series of replies from me. Strange. Everything is sorted out, now, and scope repair is on-track.

Maybe the two weeks he needs to do the work won't start for another three weeks?

Nope. Spoke to him again today. Due to the materials used in wartime Germanicon scopes (this one was made around 1940 according to Don), dissasembly is a delicate business that can't be rushed. I think Don is THE GUY (other than the $factory$) for repair of these older German/Austrian scopes. I definitely would not reccommend that anyone try to undertake it on their own.
