My Finnish M91 + Soviet M91/30
Hi folks, I'm an Australian collector and shooter of WW1 + WW2 firearms, fairly new to the sport, I purchased these rifles a few months apart last year, thought I might as well show them off a bit here
First is my Finned' M91 marked with SA, receiver is dated 1907, manufactured at the Izhevsk ordnance factory, all parts are original and matching (Except the stock, floorplate and rear sights) the stock is a two-piece Finn, not sure when exactly it replaced the original, the rear sights have been taken from a Cossack/Cavalry M91, the sling swivels are also a Finnish addition:
Unfortunately I haven't shot the M91 due to safety reasons, have to get it checked out by a gunsmith.
Next is my all-matching, refurbished M91/30 dated 1932, manufactured by Tula:
Picked her right out of this crate of 20:
Here I am having a shoot at the Little River range:
Thanks for reading

Samurai, I'm fairly new to the MN game, having just purchased a Izhevsk 91/30 1943 vintage. I love it and it's alot of fun to shoot. Another draw here in the States is that 7.62x54r ammo is about the cheapest round available to buy. I like that range shot; it looks like MN's are pretty popular in your neighborhood too!! You have some nice rifles there.

Since that M91 came out of Finland, I'd feel pretty good about shooting it. Should be as good as the other 32 Tula safety wise. I've shot many Finns just like yours. Your 07 is absolutely spectacular and a low number to boot. Really, really great rifle.

I had my 15 yr old son out shooting mine the other day with the bayonet mounted. While it sure got heavy out there, it seemed to actually steady things out....almost like a bull-barrel. What a fun rifle to shoot, and the only rifle in my modest collection that I can afford to shoot regularly!
