Whut to do with a no 42 when I can't afford a 32.
I always had a fetish for all things black and brass,, so I've been playing with the no 42 scope;
A quick strip off with the original layers of paint, out with the black semi gloss epoxy, off to the buffing wheel with the brass bits and...it took a newby friend at the range to suggest putting a level into the brass block on top and it was almost easier done than said..nice (although I did crack the glass so the alcohol is drying and I have to do it again...anyone know where I can buy very small level things? Having that one was a fluke.).
Its mounted in Burris signature rings with the offset nylon inserts so zeroing it in has yet to be done, but looks to be a snap.

No, not I. It came that way, so that salves the conscience, everything else was a rifle I really wanted, a late model mk2, 55 if possible. I like scopes too, so it was a bit of a good buy for what I wanted.
