3rd picture down, the round Remington maker's stamp only appears to be a partial stamp from the picture. Could this be an indication that the bayonet has been refurbished at one time? Still a nice desirable bayonet though and thanks for posting the pictures.

I don't think so, there are lots of them like that. I think this one's correct. Nice blade...

Thanks all for the kind words, it's actually much nicer looking than the photo's...harder to get a quality photo shoot than I thought.
Took a lot of photo's of the rifle yesterday, I'll try to get them up tonight...
