Thanks, I wanted one for a long time. I went out to look at a Anschutz for BR use today. Just goes to show I always find what I want when I'm not looking. Donald

You should be pleased and it appears to have a Kenyon trigger in it as well.

It does. The trigger is K KENYON marked. The stock has the same S/N in ink marked on the barrel chanel. The barrel has the last three of the S/N stamped on the bottom. There's no date stamp on the barrel so I'm not sure of the year she was made. Donald

I would suggest prior to 1974. Serial numbers are really of no help here because they were numbered in numerical order but used at random. The published serial lists are years off at this point. Because of this we can use known changes that occurred and get close. Two things happened prior to or near 74/75. The sight flats on the rear top of the receiver were eliminated making for a round receiver profile. The finish went from polished blue to dull matte. Yours has none of these.
Again serials mean little but in 72 I bought 123463. This doesn't mean there were 77 Internationals made between us because by this time they were using these same "E" receivers on the "D's".
Steve or George may be able to get you closer.
Looks like a MK-8 rear and International front as well. At $800 I'd keep an eye out for the law.

Yes it is a Mark 8 and if you take away the price of the two bricks of 22's I got with it I'm into it for more like 650.00. The gun shop owner thought it might be worth more but did not do any research. He stated to back out at one point but I had aready set the hook and reeled her in before it got away. It does have the deepest blue I've seen on a Winchester. Reminds me of Pre War Colts. The sight insert is plastic on this one. Had WRA/Redfield gone to pastic by then or is it a after market item. I have a bunch of Olympic steel insert so It's not a problem to replace it if it's not correct. Donald

Its correct as plastic. The Redfield Olympic inserts will not fit the International as the I is bigger diameter and a better sight.
I think your estimate is to high, more like $550-.
