There's a photo or two in Ian Skennertonicon's books dealing w/ the L-E snipers. Good investments if you're interested in the subject!

I don't remember if Peter Laidlericon's book "An Armourer's Perspective: .303 No.4(T) Sniper Rifle" has a "dressed up" rifle pictured, but there's a photo of hessian wrapped gear at the very least, so you'll need one of those, too!

Hi, I have the 1952 UKicon sniper training manual and it shows how the rifle and accessories should be camouflaged, I will have to find it and post the pics.

There's really no fixed camouflaged format. It all depends upon the terrain that you're operating in. Same for the actual sniper.

I am sure that's true. Would be good go try a woodland scheme in the tundra!!

Just wondering more of how they approached it, say in the euro theatre of operations

did they just wrap the stock in camo cloth to break it up?
Did they actually apply branches etc to it?

I found some pics here at milsurps with the canadien sniper
but the rifle was not camo at all. I am sure that was not the case while operating

I am also looking for the physical dimension of the height of the center line of the scope
    above the action

I did see the plans here and saved them. I need to review them to see if it's there. IM sure it is

If you don't find it I can do a measurement later. I don't have one on me at the moment (at least w/ a scope on it...) ....No, wait! There's an L42a1- that'll work.

Looks like 1 3/4" CL to CL. I think I already knew that....

L129a1, anyone? right at 10 lbs. w/o sights on my scale, but seems lighter. (W/ the correct Surefire flash suppressor/noise suppressor attachment installed.)

Sorry for the delay I had to find the booklet.
This is taken from "Infantry platoon weapons Pamphlet No.10 SNIPING 1951"
And shows the way the Britishicon army was in 1951 training there snipers to camouflage the No4 T. I hope this is of any use.
