    higher front sight

    Hello,
I have a 96/11 and a k11 and both shoot a foot high @100 yards. looking to buy a couple higher front sights. I did take the rear slide off the 96/11 and it dropped the POA quite a bit. bullets hit about 3.5" high now but the rifle just don't look right with the slide off it.

can some one point me in the right direction? very nice rifles I might add

That is probably an original front sight blade which wouldn't help. What you could to is simply add some height to the existing blade with some sort of material and file it down until it is the right height. Wouldn't change the originality of the existing rifle as it could easily be removed.

"Korn für G11 extra hoch" translates into : "front sight for G11, extra high". So, it will be higher than the issue FS.

Could it be an issue with the ammunition that is being used??? It seems odd that both rifles have the same problem; I take it that both rifles are the same calibre and you are using the same ammo with both?

    Hello Sirs!!
The problem is that ,the IG96\11 and the IG11 have the rear sight that start from 300m..
So, of course, they shoot high at 100 yards.
This german front sight is higher, for shooting correct at 100m.
If you want a quicker and cheaper solution see here:

yes I am using the same reloaded ammo in both rifles. 37 grains of I4064 with both FMJ and 168 SMK bullets. the strange thing is while shooting some cast bullet loads in the guns, they shot high too. I figured at 1700 fps the bullets would drop right in there at 100 yards, not so. well, can some one translate the price? 25,00??? not sure how much it is..... thank you.

BTW.. interesting concept with the wire. I have added brass bar stock on several actually all of my muskets to lower bullet impact.
