Type one should be a 1944. I was not uncommon to see mag without "22" stamped on left side. It should be blued as opposed to parkerized. Serial number would confirm type one. Can you post a picture of receiver and bolt showing serial numbers. It will tell me if correct. Stock should be walnut. Sight should be marked "C1". Good ones are tough to find and $1500 is not out of line. Ron my email rgg_7@hotmail.com

Just heard back and the serial is 0L439x, however there is no numbering on the back side of the bolt, just a "3" on the underside.

Serial number confirms 1944 Type 1. Bolt would be numbered to receiver so I'd be suspicious. Any info on receiver finish? Ron

The photos are in the first post and it appears to be blued.
Thanks!

Don't see pic's. If blued then it's correct. I'd still question unserialized bolt? Original lost, replaced from damage? Ron
