He did not disclose the serial of the rifle on the add so I guess that makes it pretty hard to determine if it is an early No.5 could it be an early production No.5

This from the same seller by crikey the dollars value on these in the grease NOS's are getting up to Sniper T levels.

Yes I saw that one & thought the same.
Remember a couple of years ago & the listed price of HT snipers seemed to set the benchmark for latter sales?Who knows what they actually sold for,but the bubble seems to have plateaued & I can think of at least three HT snipers still languishing for sale in the $7-$8K mark.
I'm not in the market for either an HT sniper or no4 mk11 so I can't comment on the validity of their asking price.

That's only about $3700 in US dollars, but good lord!!!

I don't think I've see them for more than $1200 over here. I keep thinking about getting an unissued rifles, but don't want to pay that much for an in the wrap gun I know I won't be able to resist opening up and shooting.

Checked Strattons book whilst the serial 336 is in range there are none with 7 digits after the PF the numeric given for No.4's produced at Fazakerely's in 1954 was PF314XXX ~ PF376XXX

I have two consecutively numbered brand spanking new No 4 Mk 2s - in grease - Numbered PF338XXX.

They are still around, so the release of these in the early 90's to the market was successful.

I agree with the urge to shoot them, but self discipline is certainly required... I may change my tune in 5 years time!
