Help with Mauser ID please

I know very little about small bore Mausers hence the need for help, I have enclosed photo's of a small bore Mauser that I "think" may be a model MS420. I bought it as it seemed unusual as there are several things puzzleing me. It is all matching bolt, action stock ect and it has a Mauser marked 10 round curved magazine but I can only find reference to 5 round straight mags. The tunnel foresight is obviously made for the rifle but is made by Parker Hale, I know that this rifle was made before WW2 but would Parker Hale have been supplying sights for them? The "Ajack" scope is correct for the period but again it is on mounts made by Parker Hale. The Mauser "steering wheel" on the stock has been modified with the insertion of a silver disc I think engraved with the letters C J K and is probably someones personal crest.
Any help on ID and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Nice Rifle: I suspect that the scope/mount are as valuable as the rifle itself. If you want to get more information on this rifle, I would suggest that you check the Collector Grade Publication on Mauser Smallbore rifles. Holt's Auctioneers of Wolverton have listed quite a few Mauser smallbores over the last few years. I suspect large numbers were exported to the UK in the interwar years.

If I had a copy I would look it up but sadly I don't which is why I am hopeing that someone out there in forum land can help answer some of the points I have raised. All the information I have so far been able to get suggests that there is far greater knowledge about the small bore Mausers in the US than in the UK so I am hopeing that one of our friends across the pond can enlighten me...

I have managed to find out exactly what the rifle is, it is Model 410Mm "M.W. Mehrlader-Karabiner Mm410" the First M is for Mehrlader, "repeater" the second m is for mittelgewicht "medium weight". It would origionaly have been supplied with a five round mag but the ten round curved mag was available as an optional extra. It was made some time after 1932 as it is the "Luxusausfuhrung" deluxe version.
I can only assume that the various Parker Hale bits were fitted when it arrived in the UK, whenever that was...

Nice Mm 410B Schonzeitbüchse! I noticed the GB proof, before seeing that you are located in Cardiff. I guess this came out of Hammer & Co. on Bishopsgate in London probably just before the war started? The serial puts it just before the E/N proofing started in 1940.
