Anyone here happen to see this on GB? I wonder if the seller, or some of the bidders for that matter, know that this is contraband. Obviously the seller doesn't know the difference between a handstamp and a restamp. Nice looking carbine. Too bad it's "taint"

Why contraband? Are you saying there would be full auto internals?

Pretty obvious in that serial number range it was originally an M2 that someone ground off the 2 and re-stamped a 1 over it.

If you know your Inland hand stamped ones they look like "l" not "1". As far as ATF is concerned, once a machine gun, always a machine gun. Besides, by this time the numbers were machine stamped. I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole!
