type 99 no series buying advice
Hello,
I saw an ad for a type 99 for sale, and after getting a sn pic believe its a no series Nagoya. Mum has been ground and he says the bolt doesn't match. ( no oval sling swivel either) overall condition looks good, waiting to hear back if he has capture papers ( says a relative brought it back in 46). He wants 250 but im wondering if i should offer less? if i do get it does being a no series add any major value to it? any thoughts in general?

Capture papers will add considerably to the value and I wouldn't quibble with his price. Without capture papers, depends on overall condition but $250 these days seems to be the going rate, even with a ground mum. Couldn't hurt to offer less if it doesn't have it's papers.
