Hump job '03a1 snipers????
Came across this a couple years ago, just remembered where i saw it. The links don't work anymore but google 1903a1 sniper rifle and check out the first two from the top, auctionarms and rock island auction. Read the item descriptions carefully. I'm no expert on this but there's a coulpe things about these two that don't seem correct. The first one's in a straight grip stock and the scope's not right, sold for &3700+. The 2nd has what looks like Remington wood w/ the Springfield S in the mag. cutoff recess. The rifle is described as a late Springfield '03a1 in the 150xxxx range. Sold for $8000. Are these legit or hump jobs?

not all USMC A1,s had pistol grip stocks, some battle pictures show a Marine sniper using a straight grip grasping groove stocked rifle.
without seeing the rifles its real hard to say.
the few real deals iv seen were pretty rough shape..
