    L42A1 Question

In the L42A1, was the barrel beded or free floated? I am building one want to do it right for best accuracy.

    Thanks for the information.

The barrel and body were bedded exactly the same as for the No4T - UP TO AND INCLUDING THE REINFORCE (or knocks form) Thereafter, the barrel must be fully floating and I suggest a gap of at least .025" between the barrel and foreend and handguard

Seems to have a label on the inside from the Technical Quartermasters or Armourers shop of 1st Royal Welch Fusiliers but on the outside something from 22SAS. As a general rule, special forces go out of their way to NOT to identify themselves with this kind of marking. But that's just my 2c's worth

It went for $3575.00 . (2235.00 sterling) Seems like someone is licking their chops having grabbed a bit of a Billy bargain?
I do think the transit case stencil is a bit dodgy though. Mebe you get a t shirt with it saying "Ask me about joining my secret army"
I only posted it because i thought it was relatively cheap asking price.
    Just saying.

No it did not. $3575 was the last bid before the sellor pulled the rifle with this announcment: "Information added 9/9/2012 1:41:43 PM]
Rifle has been sold through a private sale. Please retract any bids you may have on this item. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you. Joe" I'm sure there will be some fall out over this, as the rules say that you can't stop an auction after there have been valid bids. But in reality all they can do is ban any more auctions by this sellior.
