Mystery British sling- SLR/Bren?
I recently purchased this lightly used sling which was sold to me as probably for a SLR. I didn't really think it was SLR when I was buying it because it seemed too long and thought it more likely for L4 Bren. But now I'm wondering if it's too long even for the Bren @ 73" long. I can't see any markings on it but it has been used so they may have been lost in use. Is anyone able to confirm if it's late Bren or, perhaps, intended for something else? Thanks for any information.

It looks like one of the brand new ones made by IMA or some such...sold aftermarket.

It could be an aftermarket sling, Jim, and I did wonder that myself but it does appear to have had some light use which is not really visible from the picture. The thing that I was curious about is the length which seems exceptionally long at 73", even for a Bren.
I was under the impression that SLR slings were more or less the same length as No4/SMLE slings but don't know for sure.

We used the same sling for FNs as the .303. They went right into service and were continued until used up. I just wonder if this one is a used version of an aftermarket product that's meant to be a copy of Bren...made by someone that interpreted a length as somewhere between "This and that"? More will be along...
