Hi guys, do you agree that these parts could rightly be found on #1464402 ? I've got the barrelled receiver. Took off, and put in the parts box everything I didn't think belongs. It's a mess but might be O.K for a re-building project. Someone has refinished parts of it but not others, i.e, the refinishing on the bottom half of the trigger housing has stained parts of the top half. The double bevelled housing and 1.43 barrel interested me. Great to see you back Charlie. Cheers, Mike.

    Hi Mike,
Curious if your Barrel has the NPM Punch Mark on it?
I only have 1 NPM, much later than yours at 4,157,xxx.
Before buying looked for info about the Punch Mark used by NPM.
Here are some old links, with pictures of NPM Punch Marks.

    Cheers,
    Charlie

    Hi Mike

My NPM has what I think are the original TH and barrel, mine is late, 425XXXX. The proof P is there and the punch mark is just to the left of the P (IBM barrel), the trigger housing marking on mine is N 16 and larger than what you've shown. NPMs are nice weapons.

1/43 Underwood barrel on #1464402 has punch mark 6.5 inches from end of barrel, slightly to the right of centre. Has SN front sight double struck, front marking has N to the left of blade, S to the right. I'm guessing this is the one mentioned bottom of Page 448 Warbaby although dates don't seem to agree. I wish blade hadn't been filed. Mike.

Production would have been about early April 1943 for the serial number. But the front sight has been changed out sometime. What type barrel band does it have? The bolt marked with the number 9 would be correct for the time period too.
