Finding a Type 2 Arisaka forestock?
Hello,
I know this is a long shot, but can anyone help me with finding a Type 2 forestock? A friend of mine owns a Type 2 but it has been sporterized and he would like to restore it to original configuration. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.

ebay gets lots of arisaka parts. You have to be patient sometimes but eventually one will probably show up.

Why would you go to all that effort and not dovetail the stock joint? Pretty expensive for a repro stock set. But then again, probably only a few people out there that would ever need one.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. That is a lot of milling not to put the dove tail in it. It sure looks good though

That is a nice looking stock. I bet with today's glues are so good that dovetailing is not needed, and it would add cost.

Also a good way to "detect" that it is a repo?!?!?!?!
