Ford GPW on eBay
I spent quite a bit of time driving a '42 Ford GPW at a farm where my dad worked when I was about 14. This one is kind of a basket case, but I thought you guys (especially Bill H.) might enjoy taking a look. - Bob

USGI,
BUY IT!
I passed on an MV a number of years ago... and knew I was missing an opportunity.... and still regret it...
Remember that they aren't making any more of these critters!

Guys from what I see I don't believe it is worth the asking price unless there is a whole lot more information the seller is not listing. There is a great start there but it is missing crucial photos like the dash, underside (especially the hat channels and tub rot), data plates, flooring and really nothing of detail is mentioned. The black out drive light is an M series type for later MVs like an M151 or M38A1. The wheels are civilian. Air cleaner is incorrect. Hum, $4500.00 tops with current information. Now if it has a matching serial numbered engine to frame to tub??? Oh yeah, it may very well be worth the asking price! JMHO

No, it's not for me. The only Jeep I ever owned was a CJ2A, and I sold it in the late 60's for about $450. I put the money toward a new VW beetle that was about $1850. Wages and prices seem to be approx. 10X now what they were then, so I think Bill has the price pegged pretty close. The close-ups under the hood and of the body don't look that encouraging to me. I've got a Marmon-Herrington Ford (not military) that I've been tinkering with for almost 40 years - it and the M1 Carbines are enough to keep me busy! - Bob
