Where is the ATF when you need them?
I just got back from about a month in Florida. Attended the Leesburg Fl. Bike Fest with about 250,000 plus bikers.
I always got to the numerous flea markets on search for militaria stuff. That is where I got really ****ed!
I saw two vendors sell $6,500 dollars worth of pistols, rifles, ammo, and 2 Mac 10s to two non citizens! They could hardly speak english! I do know their country of origin.
Started a conversation with the two vedors and they said they made about $1,600 profit each. Come to find out that the two buyers come about once every two weeks and purchase firearms. Then the buyers carry the guns away in plastic grocery store bags.
Acccording to the vendors, they are not breaking any Florida laws.
All I could think about is that, I do what the law says regarding firearms and these jerks are undermining all we do. I have seen similar type sales at the orher Florida flea markets but they are usually just one rifle or a pistol at the same high prices.

I wonder, whether a simple call to the ATF would be like a neighborhood watch act?
I have called the police a lot and have assisted in several crime resolutions. The best one is where I observed a mugging/robbery called police and the crook had lunch in jail.
If these folks were buying guns were grossly illegal acts and you had a problem with the situation, drop a dime.
Doesn't that seem right?

How do we know the individuals broke any laws? Is mastery of English a requirement for US citizenship? Are they underage and unable to prove residency required for a private transaction? What does it say on their ID's when you check them?
By all means lets call in the Feds and strip Florida of its sovereign rights and close those "gun show loopholes", thus driving all private transactions back onto the street corners and alleyways where they belong. This all goes to prove that what we really need is the AlGore National ID card, gun rationing, and on-the-spot national firearms registration.

Sorry, but given the facts cited above I see no reason to jump to any conclusions.

Was this your first visit to southern Florida? You need to get out more often and try visiting Texas-New Mexico-Arizona-California where Español is the major language. Visiting most mid Atlantic cities makes one feel like your in the middle east. And folks wonder why our country is crumbling.....

Yes....yes it is! The test is in English and you have to get a passing score to be Naturalized. Since at least part of the test is oral, you have to both understand and speak the language.

You folks are missing a few things here.
1. the sellers made by their own admission, $1600 profit, EACH, over and above what the guns were worth.
2. The buyers show up every two weeks.
3. they haul away their purchases in plastic grocery bags
That tells me the people buying those guns are NOT a couple of rich collectors or target shooters.
But I could be wrong, does everybody buy guns at a show and carry them home in plastic grocery bags??????
WAKE UP FOLKS, those guns are going to the bad guys!

Need to catch the sellers and the buyers, find them Guilty and send them back to where they came from. Heads in one boat, bodies in another.

....does everybody buy guns at a show and carry them home in plastic grocery bags??????
Not everybody, but I have seen it and a few other variations of transporting "cased" firearms.
If I said I made over 100% profit on some of the guns I sold would that be illegal? I could easily say that I made over $1,200 on some show transactions if I were to boast, but that would be ignoring my initial costs. Many do that. I know several gamblers who always boast that they made thousands of dollars but shut up when I ask how much it cost them to win that amount.
When I work a show table I have several customers who look me up and buy from me as regulars. Not all speak English as a first language. They like my goods and prices. By the same token I always trade with some of the same show dealers when I'm there. Two speak with thick German accents.
I didn't know that made me a criminal.

If the sellers are there selling guns on a regular basis they would be considered unlicensed dealers by the ATF. They are what gives the "gun show loophole" people fuel for their position.
You only need to be a resident to buy firearms, citizenship not required.

It sounds suspicious, not because of their accents either
If the case as described does not raise some suspicions then I don't know what would.
As one person says, their activity might be completely harmless. Or they could be one of the sources for criminals to get their hands on guns that cannot be traced. If they are, then these kinds of transactions can come back to bite all of us.
I suggest they be checked out.
