Need help with British L15A1 ammo
Thank you very much. I appreciate your help. I had removed the 20 round boxes from the original crate and put them in an ammo can. I labeled the ammo can with all of the info that was on the crate. For some reason, the boxes have all of the info except the bullet weight. At some point, the label came off of the ammo can. I couldn't remember the bullet weight. No one around here knew, google was a bust, and I don't access to a bullet puller and scale. Bummer! Thanks to your help, I can take my HBAR (doesn't like 55 gr) and stand a better chance of having a good group. Thanks again. Regards, Johnny Lawson

L15A1 is a Brit desgination for standard NATO ammo. Your HBar, having a 1 in 7 rifling twist, should shoot it well. Mind you, HBars scream for handloads with heavy bullets. A Hornady or Sierra match bullet would do nicely.
Hbars aren't made for milsurp ammo. They're high end target rifles. Use good ammo.

Who's HBAR's???
My 1990's Colt is NATO spec, check the stampings on the barrel or contact the manufacturer and confirm the chambering and twist.
If 1/7 then use the 62gr and heavier weight, I use the 68gr for across the course.
The previous posting DOES not apply to all rifles. Check yours' out then act.
