Rear Stock Band Installation
I purchased a Longbranch without any stock bands. I picked some up. I installed the sling and stacking bands with a little bending but I can't believe installing the rear stock band will require removing the front sight. Am I wrong? Is some expert going to save me some trouble and tell me how to install this without any grief. If I remove the sight how do I get if back the way it was?
Thanks in advance,
bent9

Yup, front sight's gotta come off. It's easier than removing the front sight block. Just scribe a witness line between the sight and base before removing. Or use a precision measuring instrument that can measure the sight position. (Calipers will work if you're careful.) Not a big chore, plus all the new furniture will require a rezero, regardless. Good excuse to hit the range!
Welcome to the forums! BTW, very few experts here, at least that will admit it...I'm certainly not one, just ask anybody!
