M1 Garand Double Fire Trigger. Help!
I went to the range today and it is the first time I have ever Shot this rifle. When I pulled the trigger a round goes off as normal, but when I let go another one fires off. I fired 3 clips through it with same results on all. Pulling the trigger all the way back and holding it a round will go off and then letting it back down and another goes off. Normal or not normal? It worked so well I am questioning it before hand because it felt like it was made that way. Please help, and if its not normal, pointers on how to fix it?

Replace hammer and trigger
Seems like the secondary sear is not handing off to the primary sear
Function test out of rifle
Use known good parts from another M1

Also, make sure the stock or debris is not binding the trigger or sear.
