Announcement M1 Carbine display planned in January

OK all you diehard M1 Carbine collectors I am going to try and do something meaningful for our hobby. I have been asked and accepted an invitation to display at the Alabama Military Collectors Show on January 16th & 17th 2010
in Huntsville, Alabama. This will be a tune up for Dallas next year so plan on attending. If you come to the show you can attend a great Military Museum right next door. Guns displayed will be all the early production M1 Carbines by makers and tool room rifle #32, T3's, a presentation rifle given to A.W. Phelps manager of the Inland plant in Detroit (yes Detroit) Michigan still in the condition presented over 65 years ago. A registered Winchester M2 that was in the Winchester Museum at their plant. I don't want hear excuses about not attending from you collectors. Email amcahq@knology.net for more information. I look forward to meeting everyone of you at the show! The link to the show is working http://almilitarycollectors.org/regi...istration.html

ps and all three styles of M1A1icon!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I have added two more rare M1icon Carbines to the display. A XC48 & XC 49 consecutive numbered presentations both in mint condition. I hope you diehard collectors are planning on attending.

I thinking about setting up a dinner for all who are attending the display. I was going to find a retuarant that could give us an area to meet and discuss or sickness (LOL). If you are interested in getting together Saturday evening with other M1icon Carbine collectors please email me so I can arrange a place for everyone to go and eat and meet. My email is m1cc@msn.com and state who you are and how many will be attending with you. Thanks and look forward to seeing everyone at the dispaly.
    In the spirit of collecting
    Paul
