I'm with you, a shooter is more important than a looker, what I did was I bought a Cut -9 SA new USGI then when I get the money I will have the NM Rod rebuilt.

I'd sell it to a collector and get a cut replacement.

Collector value would also be a determining factor.
It might be better in the long run to sell the uncut -9 Op Rod to a collector and purchase a "cut" Op Rod. I've noticed that uncut Op Rods usually fetch over $100.00, while the "cut" Op Rods in good condition can be had for around $50.00.
