I have heard of the man somewhere along the line. He was apparently an acomplished shooter and collector. The auction listing looks tempting and I may attend. I have been to Reddings auctions before and have done reasonably well on a couple of items.

I attended this auction today. Lots of good stuff. Picked up a Springfield M1903, SN 1269006 with SA 8/38 dated barrel.
Anyone else make it to the auction? The Air Service magazine with box mentioned in another thread went for 600.00

I personally knew Mr. Ammon Bell for many years. He was a fine gentleman and one of the best pistol and rifle shooters during the 50's and 60's. His experiences in WWII, ETO, were vast and he spent most of his time as an armorer repairing all sorts of small arms. What was at the auction yesterday was probably only 5% of his vast collection. He provided me with many scarce parts for U.S. military rifles through the years and he will be greatly missed.
