Too small to really make out from this end...

The firing pin is used on all the Thompson submachine guns except the M1A1 which has a fixed firing pin in the bolt face

It is a Thompson submachine gun firing pin, used in all of them except the M1A1 which had the fixed firing pin in the bolt face.

The "wire" on the small pin goes through to the other side, flush. Kinda like a stock band for '03 or carbine. On top it has a bend that exceeds the diameter of the pin, I assume to hold it in place. Looks removable with a very small pin punch to get it started. Thanks for all your help so far, Mike

The small pin looks like the one that held the accellerator in the lock frame of the 1919 Browning MG. It's hard to tell without it in my hands but if it's small then 1919 if it's big then maybe the 50 cal. They're the same basicly.
