Block for fitting inside FAL magazine - conversion to 10 rounds.

ANyone know who sells these. I'm in CA and can only have 10 round magazines for my FAL. I bought some in reno NV and need to put teh blocks in to convert them to 10 rounders before I bring them back into CA. Can't remember for the life of me where I saw someone selling these things a few years back. Any ideas folks?

I just use steel strap, bend and insert and test. Then a spot of weld on the heel of the bottom and you're done. That way the follower won't come down further than the square created by the steel strap...done lots of them that way...

Do you bend it and insert so it bends forward from the back of the mag or backward from the front of the mag?

Bend it so it's an upside down U...the square end up towards the follower. You can work it so the block is up next to the follower and it won't interfere with the spring. Just use some of the thicker steel strap. It won't have as much vertical travel as you would think, make it so it takes 10 and a touch rds. So you can load from a closed breech block carrier... You'll have to do every mag by it's self. You can't measure one and do production line. It's a fiddle but it works...

I acquired and use L1A1 5 round magazines. I did this so the rifle lays flat for lower profile.

I actually have 10 round magazines but I just LOVE the look of the L1A1 with the 20 round mag. My old man used to use on in the army and I have a pic of me as a 3 year old carrying it.
