    What Do I Have?

    My .45-70 Trapdoor rifle has a 1873 dated breech block with low arch(?), the cartouche is SWP/1886 and it has a 1884 Buffington rear sight. Is it a Model 1873 or a Model 1884?

    Model 1884. The early 1884's had 1873 breech blocks.
