Yet Another Helmet That Needs Identifying. :)

We just keep finding more. I would have simply added them all to this post but I had to stop and charge the battery. Anyways, here it is. I am guessing it's U.S. As always, all help is appreciated.

Alot of countries used that type of helmet after WW2. I know because liked mentioned in your other helmet thread ,I have been searching ALOT of Helmet sites for a match to my M35 style helmet.
It looks US but I have several ?
Are the Bails fixed or swivel?
Does it have a heat lot stamped inside the metal outer shell?
Is there a MFG stamp on the inside top of the liner?

Possible Belgian helmet. It looks like the liner rivets line up with what you posted. But the link says plasttic liner so maybe not!!!

So does the liner or helmet have any markings and are the bails fixed or swivel?
The liner being made of fiberglass resin does look like a US WW2 type,But several countires used this type. Some used a plastic type liner and those I can dismiss as not the one posted. The helmet has the rear seam and if its not of a certain MFG it is post WW2. But like I mentioned ALOT of countries adopted this version after WW2. So let me know if you find any marking. I have several reference's to search if you find some marking's and should be able to tell you something!!!!

    Hello All!

As always, I appreciate the feedback. It took a while to actually see it but I did find a number inside of the helmet. I think it might have been re-painted because it wasn't the easiest to find. The number reads 471A with a large S below it. I was unable to find any markings on the liner itself but it does appear to be made of fiberglass. The bails do swivel. This is most definitely turning into quite the quest.

The large S could be a Schlueter Made shell. Were is the stamp located in the shell. Can you post a pic of it. and also some pics of the bail attachments and the tack marks on where the seam is joined.

I appreciate the help. I'll have to do some more research of Schlueter and other shell manufacturers and further my helmet identification education.
