m48 rear barrel band interchangability with k98

Just picked up a m48 thats missing the rear barrel band, cant find anyone that has them in stock, i have noticed the milled version of k98 looks identical and seems to be in stock everywhere. anyone know if they will fit, dont have a 98 to measure to see but i know the 48 is 98 inspired so thought they might be close enough to work.

I'm looking at a K98icon and an M48 side by side right now, without measuring I'd say without a doubt a K98 band will work. They look identical in EVERY respect.

Thanks for the reply warpig1976, sorry took so long to acknowledge. you were correct perfect fit one the barrel band.

anyways update on parts incase anyone in the future need to know, had to pick up a few parts for my project, parts that ive found so far that interchange, rear barrel band, barrel band spring, front sight blade, sight hood, butt cup(k98 one i picked up was a waffled sniper repro, metal was slightly thick and required just a little file work to the wood otherwise perfect fit and screws line up.) lastly to my surprise was the k98 sniper flag safety, which fit and functions perfectly thou did require minor fitting thou i assume this is the case when installing on a k98 as well.

    IIRC,
When the Model 48's were coming in via CAI, the rumor was that many K98K parts were recycled in their manufacture. I haven't been able to track that rumor down.
