Silver Bear ammo
With the weather finally breaking here in Michigan, I've decided to take my M1917 to the range tomorrow. I bought a few boxes of Silver Bear ammo a few weeks ago. The box claims non-corrosive and I haven't really found anything in contrary on the net. Anyone else ever shot it? At $6 a box, seems a good deal for plinking. Should be sufficient for 100-yard shooting.

Yes its non-corrosive but you will find its dirty ammo (leaves a lot of carbon in your barrel) its the same stuff as Wolf, Brown Bear, Barnaul. If I remember right they are all owned by Barnaul.
Are you not signed up with the CMP
? You really cant beat the price of the HXP and its pretty good stuff.

Thanks Irishsteve. The flag is actually the U.S. Customs Ensign (same as Coast Guard, minus the CG seal).
