Scored 200 Old 303 Ammunition Gratis
Hi Guys,
Just scored 200 odd 303 rounds from an acquaintance, have been going through them and came across a couple i can't be sure of, if anyone can correct me I would be grateful.
First up is one with a Headstamp of GB C II, my research Green Wood + Batley manufacturer, C denotes cordite load and II Mark 2?
Next are a few 215 Gn Cupro Nickel Jacketed Round Nose with no head stamp markings at all?
In this collection of odds and saods are over 50 CAC 215 Gn Cupro Nickel Jacketed Round Nose from 1906 through to 1917 all MK VI and the rest are made up of various manufacturers all MK VII both Cupro and copper 174 Gn. In the collection is at least one cartridge from every Australian Factory that ever existed during WW2.

Yes, Greenwood & Batley.

If it is a MK 2 I just wonder how many of them are still around as it would have been produced early on when they were making the change to cordite loads?
